This book succeeds in describing tough subjects through a smooth style. It helped me refresh many already studied content, learn several new things, better understand some financial notions in English language.

This book was a really great read on basic financial concepts in the workplace. As the title implies, it attempts to explain important financial ideas and terms to the uninformed employees who currently, or will in the future, deal with creating a budget. The writing is very clear and concise with lots of great examples to hammer the details home. Unfortunately, there does appear to be a few missing items, such as Net Present Value and Internal Rate of Return, but those concepts may be a bit deeper than what the author wished to convey.

One thing is for certain. I will no longer be asking myself, "Why should I care about EBIDTA?"

The book does an excellent job explaining accounting/finance terms to the non-financial manager. I am a small business owner and reading this book has provided me with the tools I need to keep my finance clear and also to understand better what kind of information to look for and ask the CPA. Great book./

This is a good overview of finance from what I can tell. I have no financial background, and Siciliano makes a good effort to explain things in layman's terms while keeping the meanings clear.
